During the 911 Board meeting held May 26, Supervisor Dana Carder noted that the internet speed in the office had to be upgraded as the new system is Windows-based and the former access speed proved inadequate. Ms. Carder also advised that a MULES Audit had been conducted and there were no compliance issues.

Carder informed the board about an insurance coverage increase. The 911 system coverage was increased from $100,000 to $110,000 due to the new system. Total insurance for all computer systems and equipment in the 911 office is currently $170,000.

Employment applications were given to the board for their review at the May 26 meeting. Interviews will be conducted later in June. There were no Board Member comments.

Sullenger presented the Treasurer’s Report for April. Bills totaling $7,141.99 with revenue of

$26,707.30 and a checkbook balance of $155,369.31 were presented and unanimously approved.

Sullenger also presented the May Treasurer’s Report. Bills totaling $7,071.24 with revenue of $25,783.02 and a checkbook balance of $168,975.91 were presented and unanimously approved by the board.

Vice Chairman Carder administered the oath of office to Daniel Wilson and Ronetta Burton who will begin four-year terms. Walker will take the oath of office at the next meeting due to his absence. Huskey’s term as board member expired. Burton was given a summary of the duties and responsibilities of the board members and dispatchers.

This report is based on the unapproved minutes of the May 26 board meeting. Vice Chairman Watson presided during this meeting in Walker’s absence. Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved, including minutes from April 28 when no official business was conducted due to a lack of quorum.

Attending the May 26 board meeting were Sullenger, Watson, Wilson and Eads. Absent were Gene Walker, Chrisman and Huskey. Also present was new board member Ronetta Burton and Supervisor Dana Carder.
