Megan Gawatz and Nic Burrell were united in marriage May 21, 2016, in a lakeside ceremony at the Morrell Ranch in rural Gallatin. Pastor Robert Nelson officiated at the ceremony.

KC Wolf was introduced as the “missing” groomsman at the reception, to the surprise of the bride and groom. This sparked several minutes of the Chiefs chant at the reception before the meal could begin.
Megan is a 2007 graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph and a 2012 graduate of MWSU. She is employed at Heartland Health.
Nic is a 2007 graduate of Gallatin High School and a 2012 graduate of MWSU. He is employed by Family Heritage Insurance Co. in St. Joseph.
The couple will make their home in Kansas City, Mo.
