Gary Sims, 43, Carrollton, received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 1:05 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, in Daviess County.

According to the highway patrol, the accident occurred as Mr. Sims was northbound on I-35 driving a 2013 freightliner semi tractor trailer. About one mile west of Winston, he traveled off the west side of the roadway, overcorrected, overturned onto the driver’s side, and came to rest partially in the median and on the roadway.
Mr. Sims was transported by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional medical Center.
The semi was totaled.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball, assisted by Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and KAW Fire Department.
