2:25 pm – MSHP arrested Aaron Martin, 25, Princeton. Martin was transferred to DDCRJ on 24-hour investigative hold. Also arrested was Tristan Vencill, 19, Trenton, on active warrants out of Grundy County and Trenton PD for misdemeanor charges of possession of narcotic equipment and hindering prosecution. Bond for both totals $3,500. Vencill was transported to Grundy County.

5:29 pm – Vehicle accident at Yale Avenue and 210th Street.

6:36 pm – Complaint regarding ATVs in Winston.

 

5-11-16

9 am – Court in session.

10:30 am – Charges were filed for Aaron Martin from yesterday’s arrest by MSHP. Martin was charged with two class C felony counts of possession of controlled substance. Bond is set at $35,000 cash.

1 pm – MSHP arrested Benisha C. Johnson, 20, Dallas, Texas, for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Johnson was transported to the DDCRJ where bond of $750 was posted and she was released.

Also arrested was Zakeius L. Clerk, 22, Desoto, Texas, for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Clerk was transported to the DDCRJ where bond of $750 was posted and he was released.

2:20 pm – A warrant was issued for Benjamin Milazzo, 39, Kansas City, for probation violation on original charges of no valid license, class D felony. Milazzo was transported to DDCRJ on $20,000 cash bond.

2:36 pm – Out with DFS in Altamont.

 

 5-12-16

8:48 am – Two-car accident on Highway 69 at Highway BB west of Winston. One car blocking the highway. No injuries.

10:42 am – Carthage PD advising that they have Celina A. Mercado, 30, Carthage,  in custody on a Daviess County warrant for FTA on original charges of driving while revoked, misdemeanor. Bond of $750 cash was posted and Mercado was released.

11:28 am – Domestic disturbance south of Gallatin.

11:44 am – Deputy requesting assistance with above disturbance.

6:55 pm – Complaint of ATV in Winston.

9:34 pm – Domestic disturbance north of Gallatin. All OK. 12-hour rule invoked, meaning subjects are to stay away from each other for 12 hours.

10:22 pm – Caller advising of abandoned horse and buggy on Highway U outside of Jamesport.

10:44 pm – Report of suspicious person walking on Highway 190 near Jamesport. Subject not found by deputy.

11:58 pm – Suspicious person from above now walking on Highway NN.

 

5-13-16

9:30 am – Daviess County warrant was issued for Richard Kerns, 43, St Joseph, for class A felony domestic assault and class D felony fail to register as sex offender. According to the probable cause report, Kerns’ girlfriend was admitted to Hedrick Medical Center with a fractured nose, fractured jaw and three broken teeth. She informed the Chillicothe Police that Kerns was at her residence at Lock Springs and that the police could gain entry to apprehend him. Officers forced open the front entrance at the residence and took Kerns into custody. Investigation revealed that Mary Ruth Craft had been hiding Kerns at her residence since he got out of jail in October. Kerns was taken to DDCRJ on 5-8-16 on an active warrant for DeKalb County for fail to register as sex offender, with $100,000 bond. Bond for the Daviess County charges is set at $75,000 cash only.

 

5-14-16

1:14 am – Domestic disturbance in Jameson.

1:36 am – Andrew Johnson, 38, Jameson, was taken into custody and transferred to DDCRJ from the above domestic. He was charged with felony armed criminal action, two counts of class D felony unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor domestic assault, 3rd degree. According to the probable cause report, Johnson’s wife called dispatch to report that her husband had discharged a firearm into the ceiling of the residence and had cut his wrist with a knife during an argument. Johnson pulled the phone from the wall, disabling it, when his wife called 911. The front door was unlocked when officers arrived, and he was taken into custody without incident. Johnson admitted to officers that he was intoxicated. Bond is set at $50,000.

4:27 am – Ricky Pauley, 32, Milan, was arrested and transferred to DDCRJ after a traffic stop. According to the probable cause report, when Pauley emptied his pockets onto the hood of the patrol car, he grabbed a bag of a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine and swallowed it. Pauley was charged with class D felony tampering with physical evidence and misdemeanor no valid license. Bond is set at $35,000.

2:30 pm – Funeral escort.

3:23 pm – Complaint of loud music coming from residence in Winston.

4:11 pm – Person sitting in the road east of Jameson.

6:04 pm – Report of car partially blocking southbound land of I-35 near the 72mm.

7:25 pm – Domestic disturbance north of Winston.

7:56 pm – Vincent Sterner, 59, Winston, was taken into custody and transferred to DDCRJ from the above domestic. According to the probable cause report, Sterner and his girlfriend, Janis Faye Creamer, argued and wrestled over a Marlin .22 caliber rifle. In the struggle, Creamer struck Sterner with the rifle, and took it and locked it in a vehicle outside. When Deputy Larry Watson seized the rifle, it was unloaded. Sterner appeared to be extremely intoxicated. Sterner was charged with class D felony unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor domestic assault. Bond is set at $15,000.

10:02 pm – Kayla Romesburg, 24, Camden Point, was arrested and issued citations for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was detained after a traffic stop.

12:52 am – Rose Murphy, 44, Gallatin, was arrested on Platte County warrant for FTA on traffic offense. Murphy posted a $150 bond and was released.
