4-h meeting

Bob Teegarden shows the Knee-Hi 4-H Club members the basics of leather work and projects that they can do while attending 4-H Camp.

Knee-Hi 4-H Club met on May 11 at the Covel D. Searcy Elementary School library. This meeting was the last for the current 4-H year. Daviess County Achievement/Contest Day has been scheduled for June 29 at the First Christian Church in Gallatin. Daviess County 4-H members will turn in their project exhibits and do conference judging once again during Achievement Day.  Contest Day will take place in the afternoon with members doing demonstrations, fashion review and speeches. Club members voted to donate money to the Daviess County Jr. Livestock Show which is scheduled for July 7-9. Each family was asked to bring two dozen cookies or brownies for the community BBQ Saturday night of the fair, July 9. The meeting program was Bob Teegarden showing members leather crafts and what projects they can do while attending 4-H camp in June. Next meeting will be September 14, 2016.
