Kenneth Dale Yost, 83, of Pattonsburg, Mo. went to heaven on May 11, 2016 with his family by his side.

He was born Jan. 16, 1933 in Pattonsburg, the son of Harvey and Nellie (Thompson) Yost.

He graduated from Pattonsburg High School in 1951. Kenneth was a proud United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. After his return, he married his loving wife, Naomi Arlene Daniel Yost, on March 30, 1957 in Pattonsburg. They made their home in Pattonsburg where he farmed and sold insurance until moving to Savannah to sell cars. In 1971, the family moved to Marshall, where they co-owned Yost Chevrolet with his brother Glenn. Kenneth bought the dealership fully in 1974 and continued to build the business while continuing to farm his land. After the sale of his business, he returned to his roots to farm and he worked at the Cameron Prison for numerous years. In his retirement, he enjoyed his farm, family and fishing. He enjoyed spending time at his granddaughter’s sporting events and time with family and friends.

Kenneth was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pattonsburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Jean Dungy; brothers, Glenn and Laurence; and nephew, Stanley Daniel.

Survivors include his wife of over 59 years, Arlene of the home; son, Gary Yost, Springfield; daughter Annette Graver and husband Joe, Independence; brother, Worth Yost and wife Eileen, Pattonsburg; 2 grandchildren, Corporal Andrew Graver, North Carolina and Elizabeth Graver, Independence; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Mary Wyrick and Lois Yost.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. Burial with military rites will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Pattonsburg.
