Jerry O. Walton, 66, Surprise, Ariz., died May 3, at a hospital there.
He was raised in Gallatin. He graduated from Gallatin High School and Missouri Western College in St. Joseph.
After a term in the Army, he was employed at Quaker Oats Company in St. Joseph until its closing. Jerry then moved to Anaheim, Calif., where he was employed by a bottle making company. After his retirement, Jerry moved to Surprise, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of the home; a brother, Conrad Walton, Gallatin; a sister, Millie Stephens (Russell) of Kansas City; and several nephews and cousins.
