County Commission
Reta Rains, treasurer/collector, submitted a certificate of training from the Missouri County Collectors Association for her 2016 annual training hours.
James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, and the crew continue working on the bridge on 292nd Street. Crews continue to install X-braces as noted by the 2016 bridge inspections.
Commissioners received a signed agreement from Daviess County Special Road District #1 for the 2016 CART program.
Commissioners set the date for collection of tires, appliances, batteries, electronic and hazard wastes for June 4.
Bob Bird discussed replacing a corrugated metal pipe on Quick Avenue with the commissioners.
Ron Urton, Howe Company, updated the commissioners regarding progress on bridges in the county.
Annie Gibson, prosecuting attorney, Doug Reed, Randy Eads, Nancy Pool, Washington Township, and Sheriff Ben Becerra discussed water damage on 232nd Street in Washington Township with the commissioners.
Jason Watkins and Dakota Parshall, Midwest Data Center, discussed phone systems and internet connections for the courthouse.
Commissioners met at Subway for the Local Emergency Planning Committee at noon.
Commissioners met with Darryl Wilkinson regarding Lewis Mill and the cupola building.
Commissioners viewed drainage issues in Salem Townships.
