Tornadoes were spotted over the Winston area Wednesday of last week during a storm system that moved through the region. Tim Andrew with the Kidder-Winston-Altamont Fire Department said at least four funnels were spotted going up and down over Winston. One home was damaged near Altamont and trees were downed near Kidder. Along with KAW, Gallatin Fire Protection District, Jameson, Jamesport and Lake Viking Fire Departments, as well as the Gallatin Police and Daviess County Sheriff sent out “spotters” to track the approaching storm.
