From April 24-26, nearly 4,500 students grades 5-12, college students, and advisers, descended upon Springfield, MO for the Missouri Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference.

Gallatin High School had 55 members in attendance, under the direction and support of adviser Mrs. Barb Holcomb.

Students main focus was competitive events, in which nearly 3,400 of the attendees participated in.  Events range from Accounting I to Website Design, with Economics, Public Speaking, and Social Media mixed in between.  Overall, FBLA is home to more than 70 events.  Specific events vary across the three divisions of the organization – Middle Level, FBLA, and PBL.

A highlight to the conference was watching Hayley Michael be installed as the 2016-2017 Missouri FBLA State Secretary.  Another highlight was at the conclusion of the conference, the Gallatin FBLA chapter was awarded the statewide Spirit Gavel for a 2nd year in a row!
