Superintendent Terry Mayfield received a notice from the State Tax Commission regarding an appeal filed from Summit Natural Gas of Missouri for 2014 appeal of business personal property taxes.  The appeals were set for hearing this month with the Missouri State Tax Commission.  The school received 2014 delinquent tax payment from Summit and there are still some discussions taking place on how to handle the 2011, 2012 and 2013 assessments and taxes from them.

DESE notified North Daviess that the school met the requirements in implementing the requirements and purposes of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  The range of scores is 1 (low) to 4 (high).  The district received a score of 4 in each determination area for 2015.

Preliminary Annual Performance Report (APR) results from DESE are set to be released on September 21.  Based on a preliminary review of data, R-3 should see an increase in its score, which determines accreditation status.
