Funeral services for Brett Hawkins will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, where friends may call after 12 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison County D.A.R.E. Brett Hawkins, 34, Bethany, died Sept. 13, 2015, at Harrison County Community Hospital. He was born June 8, 1981, in Chillicothe, the son of Jerry and Betty (Gadberry) Jones. He was a deputy sheriff for Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the D.A.R.E. Officer for Harrison County.

Brett was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Brooklyn Hawkins; daughter, Arlie Hawkins; sons, Keegan Goble Hawkins, Karsen Allen Hawkins and Kenten Allen Hawkins, all of the home; mother, Betty Jones, Bethany; sister, Brandi Willis, New Hampton; brother, H.B. Gebhards, Mt. Ayr, Iowa; aunt, Susan Howard, Bethany; grandmother-in-law, Margaret Shipers, Pattonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
