Winston Elementary School recently received financial support from BTC Bank of Gallatin in the amount of $10,000. The money will go toward the purchase of Chromebooks for use in the classroom. “Increasing the students’ accessibility to computer technology is essential to develop skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world,” said R-6 Elementary School Principal Pam Madison. “We thank BTC for the generous donation.” Current resources allow Winston teachers to sign up for the use of technology in a computer lab. As part of its school improvement plan, R-6 is in the process of providing one Chromebook per student in the classroom.
