Kathy Kagay, owner of Gallatin’s Subway, said Sam White from Maysville has been doing the work of weather proofing the foundation between Subway and where the flower shop used to be. She added that the walls will be done soon with stucco dryvit. This is the same process Elbert’s recently did to the front of their building. Foam board is installed first and then stucco is applied to seal it. The side wall of Subway will then match the front style of the Subway building. A fire in March of 2014, destroyed Flowers Unlimited, the Shelter Insurance Building, and Eileine’s Beauty Salon. [Staff Photo/TLH]
