Forrest E. Zimmerman was arrested in a traffic stop for speeding on Aug. 24 on I-35 southbound by Trooper K. Cool. He has been charged with two felony counts of possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and speeding. Bond is set at $35,000.

11:55 am – Report of altercation between MSHP trooper and subject on I-35 at the 82mm. Subject was taken into custody and transferred to DDCRJ for 24-hour hold pending charges. Benton Simpson, 29, St. Joseph, was charged with felony DWI, persistent offender, speeding 92 mph in a 70 mph zone, and 2 other traffic citations. Bond is set at $50,000 cash.
3:45 pm – One-vehicle rollover accident on Highway DD and Key Avenue. Vehicle blocking roadway. No serious injuries.

1:29 am – Car vs. cow. Car blocking road. No injuries. On Highway HH one mile west of Highway CC south of Gallatin.
3:36 pm – Report of domestic assault in Coffey.
4:42 pm – Subject in custody from above domestic taken to DDCRJ on 24-hour investigative hold for issuance of warrant.
6:59 pm – Caller advising he heard gun shots in Coffey area.

7:41 am – Cattle on Highway CC south of Highway 6.
7:52 am – MSHP arrested Ronald S. Calloway, 22, New Orleans, LA. Calloway was transported to the DDCRJ where a warrant was issued with charges of tampering with motor vehicle – felony C, possession of marijuana – misdemeanor B and no seatbelt – infraction. Bond is set at $35,000.
1:05 pm – Warrant was issued for subject taken into custody from a domestic disturbance in Coffey on Aug 30. Nicolas Stevens, 31, Coffey, was charged with class C felony felonious restraint and misdemeanor 3rd degree assault. According to the probable cause report, Stevens struck a Laredo woman in the head and attempted to choke her while holding her on the ground with his knee and body. He then kicked her in the back and ankle. Bond was set at $35,000.
4:50 pm – MSHP arrested Alicia Shipers, 31, Gallatin, for DWI. Shipers was transferred to DDCRJ for 12-hour detoxification hold.
5:06 pm – Rollover accident on Highway 13 south of Gallatin with injuries.
11:14 pm – Assisting DFS with call in Winston.
