Bandits hit the Altamont church
This is part of the damage found Sunday morning at the Altamont United Methodist Church. Part of the ceiling had come down and there was debris on the pews, along with a damaged hymnal holder.
Tablecloths were pulled from tables and a candelabra was tipped over. Tracks were found in the kitchen and bathroom area leading church members to the conclusion that a raccoon had visited. Maybe he needed some religious guidance?!
Submitted news from area church services conducted Sunday, August 30, 2015.
