UPDATE 8/31/15: The advisory is still in effect, and PWSD #1 expects that it won’t be lifted until, at the earliest, Wednesday afternoon.

A boil advisory has been issued by Public Water Supply District #1 for all of its customers south of the Grand River, which includes the towns of Winston and reaches to Weatherby in DeKalb County. Pressure was lost from the City of Pattonsburg*. The water loss affects 717 customers/meters.

The cause of the problem is not yet known. Crews have been working at the river pumps which are just south of the Grand River, south of old town of Pattonsburg. Crews have the water pumping again and hopefully water pressure will be restored soon.

*PWSD#1 purchases its water from the City of Pattonsburg.
