Millard C. Conover of Mesa, Ariz., died in his home July 20, 2015. His ashes will be spread near his cabin in northern Arizona.

Millard was born Oct. 17, 1939, to Frank and Viola Conover on a farm near Santa Rosa, DeKalb County.

He earned bachelor and master degrees in math education at Truman University, Kirksville. He taught mathematics for 30 years at Westwood High in Mesa. After retirement he taught math classes at Mesa Community College. He loved traveling and languages, especially Spanish and had many Mexican friends.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Gary and Claude.

Survivors include one sister, Nellie Ann Ramsey, Albuquerque, N.M., and two bothers, Larry from Troy, and Frankie from Kerney, and numerous nieces and nephews.
