Interment was at Fillmore Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Fillmore Cemetery.
Patricia L. Hughes, 82, Oregon, died Aug. 18, 2015, at the Oregon Care Center.
She was born in Oregon on Jan. 13, 1933. Pat graduated from Oregon High School in 1950. Later that same year, on Dec. 11, she married Hershel Hughes, in St. Joseph.
Pat worked for several years at the former Pleasant Hill Nursing Home, owned by her in-laws, Mitch and Celia Hughes.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Herbert and Leora Lee (Carlton) Cooksey; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Bonnie Cooksey; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Opal Hood, Lola and Bob Ward, Darlene Douglas, and Mavis and Harry Ourant; nephew, Robbie Ourant; and special friend (sister-she-never-had), Fern Thompson.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Hershel, of their Oregon home; their children and spouses, Glenn (Dee), of Oregon, Mike (Beth), of Oregon, Ronda (Steve) Jameson, of McFall, Jeff (Becky), of St. Joseph, and Michelle Grimes, of Oregon; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
