Your Right to Know: The following is information released from the Daviess County Courthouse on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
County Commission
The road and bridge crew will be working on a bridge in Washington Township, 185th Street in Sheridan Township, replacing a corrugated metal pipe in Marion Township and doing shop work at the county barn. Washington Township asked about replacement of a larger corrugated metal pipe.
Bills were reviewed and approved.
Rick Eaton, Daviess County Nursing & Rehabilitation, discussed replacement of the roof for the building with the commissioners.
Tony Figg, Business Information Systems, held discussion with elected officials about replacement of a server and reconfiguring the courthouse systems, firewalls and internet accessibility. Discussion covered Wi-Fi and adequate band width, backup and recovery, and the amount of savings. There will be follow-up with band width options from Windstream and cost savings of the change.
Jeannie Cunningham and Justin Johnson, Mike Keith Insurance, discussed health insurance for county employees. Online applications will be available to all employees next week.
Mary Hacking asked about Carmello Hernandez to open the courthouse for Chautauqua weekend. Permission granted.
Paul Kern from Lincoln Township was present for discussion about brush, road conditions and bridges in the township.
Commissioners reviewed extensive storm damage to roads in Lincoln Township in the afternoon. Monroe Township roads have had extensive road repairs completed. Harrison Township has improved their roads also. Jamesport, Union and Lock Springs Special Road District roads and bridges were reviewed.

Circuit Court
Judge Thomas Chapman presided over the following cases on Aug. 5:
A consent judgment was entered for National Collegiate Student Loan Trust and against Penny M. Gardner and Michael Brandon Eversole, both of Breckenridge.
A dissolution of marriage was granted to Angela Fairchild from Eric Fairchild.
Name change was granted in Re Bailee Blu Jones by Jennifer L. Hoover.
Cases bound over from the Associate Division: State vs. Michael D. Henry, Minneapolis, Minn., two counts possession of controlled substance, class C felony, no valid license, speeding and failure to maintain financial responsibility, misdemeanors;
State vs. Samantha D. Hudson, two counts possession with intent to distribute, class B felony; two counts drug paraphernalia, class A misdemeanors; following too closely, speeding, failure to drive in right lane, operating vehicle owned by another knowing owner has not maintained financial responsibility, all misdemeanors.
Civil cases filed: Matt Nalle and Wendy Nalle vs. David Koger, quiet title.
Associate Division
Mervin Beechy, Jamesport, was charged Aug. 6 with two felony and seven misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks.
Defendants found guilty in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County are listed below with the offense and fine assessed. Additionally, court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $68.50 for moving traffic violations, and $116.50 in most criminal cases. Judge Daren L. Adkins presided over the following cases on Aug. 3:
Fawn N. Marriott, Gallatin, endangering welfare of a child, probation violation, probation revoked, sentence executed, 120 days jail.
Joshua K. Green, Nevada, MO, assault, 60 days jail.

Jason B. Fitzpatrick, Ridgeway, handfishing, suspended imposition of sentence, 2 years probation, 30 hours community service.

Eldon Milburn, Hamilton, failed to yield involving an accident, $30.50.
Joey D. Huffman, McFall, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, $80.50.
Quade Peery, Jamesport, no seat belt, $10; leaving the scene of motor vehicle accident, suspended imposition of sentence, 2 years probation, 30 hours community service.
Municipal Court – Traffic
Defendants found guilty in the Municipal Court of Daviess County are listed below with the offense and fine assessed. Additionally, court costs collected for the City of Gallatin amount to $32.50 for moving traffic violations and $29.50 for non-moving violations. Judge Daren Adkins presided over the following cases:
Anthony Davis was fined $54.50 for failure to stop at stop sign and $95.50 for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Jeffrey J. Rainey received a suspended imposition of sentence and two years probation for operating vehicle in careless and reckless manner.
Harlan D. Olson was fined $27.50 for failure to stop at stop sign.
Clarence Benoit Jr. was fined $141.50 for operating vehicle with brakes not in good working order.
