The Trenton area Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Support Group meets at 10 a.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Royal Inn, 1410 East Ninth Street in Trenton. Daviess County residents are encouraged to attend this meeting.

The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Support Group will have as guest speaker at their Sept. 3 meeting John Krumbholz. John is co-president of the American Parkinson Disease Association, Iowa Chapter. He is a retired school principal who spent his entire career as an educator. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2005. He is an advocate for every family and individual impacted by the disease. He has visited many support groups and is an inspirational speaker.
Anyone who has Parkinson’s or another movement disorder, is a caregiver or relative or concerned friend, is welcomed and encouraged to attend. The group is informal with no dues, officers, minutes of meetings or rules of order followed.
Meetings are spent exchanging information and giving support to those in need.
