Funeral services for Lynda Redman have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City, Kan. Cremation will follow the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Friends may greet the family 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home.
Lynda Marie Redman, 61, of Arkansas City, Kan., died July 26, 2015, at her residence.
Lynda was born Feb. 5, 1954, to Harold A. and Twilla L. (Mulhern) Sadler in St. Joseph. She was reared and educated in St. Joseph and Waynsville, graduating from Waynsville High School in 1972. After high school Lynda attended and graduated from Northwest Missouri State with a teaching degree. She later attended and graduated from Missouri Western University with a nursing degree.
On Sept. 11, 1990, Lynda married Lyle Redman in Arkansas City where the couple made their home. Lyle and his family are from the Daviess County area.
Lynda worked as a registered nurse for the South Central Kansas Medical Center and the William Newton Memorial Hospital for several years.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Douglas Sadler, and a daughter Kelley Sara Keykhah.
Survivors include her husband Lyle Redman of the home; daughter Shanley Redman and partner Douglas Meeks; son Reza Keykhah all of Arkansas City, Kan.; son George Redman of Cosby; daughter Jeanette Kleven of Diamond City, Ark.; brother David Sadler of Creston, Iowa; sister Nancy Schroff of Arkansas City, Kan.; brother Ben Sadler and wife Joby of Ponca City, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
