The family of Kathryn Crose will receive friends from 1 until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Bittiker Funeral Home, 1201 North US 65 Highway, Carrollton. A Graveside Cremation Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. at Wharton Cemetery in Bosworth, conducted by Phillip Fisher. Kathryn Elizabeth Crose, Independence, and formerly of Carrollton, died on July 25, 2015, at the Monterey Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Independence.
Kathryn was the daughter of Ernest Austin and Edith Corinne Moritz Bittiker, born on Feb. 4, 1932, in DeWitt. On Jan. 17, 1950, Kathryn married Robert Franklin Crose in Hale; he passed away in 2006.
Kathryn graduated from Bosworth High School in 1949. After graduation, she was employed by Banquet Foods in Carrollton, where she worked for 20 years. Kathryn and Bob enjoyed the Krazy Kats music, so much so, that they would travel anywhere they were playing. Since moving to Monterey Park, Kathryn made many friends.
Kathryn was a member of the Bosworth Methodist Church, Bosworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Bob.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Crose of Liberty, and Ronnie Crose and wife Jo of Richmond; one brother, John Bittiker and wife Karen of Concordia; four grandchildren, including Sephanie Berten and husband Kevin of Altamont, Sherry Beck and husband Michael of Gallatin, and Scott Crose and wife Crystal of Gallatin; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step great-granddaughter; and one step great-great-granddaughter.
