Jameson Picnic Set for Aug. 6-7-8

The 124th Annual Jameson Picnic will be held Aug. 6, 7, and 8 at the Jameson City Park. The event is sponsored by the Jameson Lions Club. Bring your old eye glasses and hearing aids to donate to the Lions Club.

Baby Show age divisions are 0-6 months; 7-12 months; 13-18 months; 19-24 months; 25-36 months. Little Mister and Miss are three- and four-years-old. There is no registration fee. Registration is Friday evening before the baby show only.

Thursday, Aug. 6 — 5:30 Registration for Talent Show; 6:00 Talent Show, all ages welcome; 8:30 “Saturation Point” country music.

Friday, Aug. 7 — 6:00 Baby Show Registration; 6:30 Baby Show & Little Mister and Miss; 8:00 “The Fabulous Torque’s” music from the ’50s and ’60s.

Saturday, Aug. 8 — 10:00 Parade registration at the high school; 11:00 Parade, rain or shine with dinner served afterward; 12:00 Registration for Lawn Tractor Pull; 1:00 Games for all ages; 2:15 Registration for Washers Tournament, adults age 18 and over, junior division age 12-17, children age 11 and under; 2:30 Co-Ed Washers Tournament; 6:00 Auction with proceeds to Jameson Lions Club; 8:00 “Dammit Jim” country and classic rock.

Free drawings will be held every night after entertainment.

Mustang Amusements will be on hand and there will be craft booths and vendor booths.

Plan to eat at the picnic. There will be tenderloins, hotdogs, cheeseburgers, fries, homemade pie, ice cold drinks and lots more great food.
