Colonel J. Bret Johnson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces that 32 Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers will graduate from the patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on Friday, June 26, 2015, including Levi Michener of Gallatin, Troop B, Monroe/Randolph Counties.

The ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. on the south lawn of the Missouri Capitol. The 100th Recruit Class reported to the academy on Jan. 5, 2015. The new troopers will report for duty in their assigned troops on July 13, 2015. All retired members of the patrol have been invited to attend the ceremony, which will include an antique MSHP car display. The public and media are welcome to attend.

Both Governor Jay Nixon and Department of Public Safety Director Lane Roberts will address the class; retired Colonel Ron Replogle will provide the keynote address during the June 26 graduation ceremony. A color guard including Sergeant Erik L. Hurst and Corporal Russell W. Shaul, both Troop A, wearing the 1930s style uniform, and Sergeant Ronald D. Kyle and Corporal Coby G. Holzschuh, both Troop F, wearing present day uniforms, will present and retire the colors.

A quartet consisting of Corporal John H. Lueckenhoff, Troop D, Sergeant Andrew A. Henry, Troop H, Trooper Steven J. Force, Troop H, and Pastor Terry Beasley, of Cameron, will sing the national anthem. Rev. Kevin Rowden, Wheeler Church of Christ in Dixon, will provide the invocation and benediction.
