Two area people were injured in an accident that happened at about 10:40 a.m. on June 4 in Daviess County.
According to the highway patrol, Jack Creamer, 86, Winston, was northbound on 132nd Street, and Rachel Trimble, 33, Gallatin, was eastbound on Hwy. 69. Mr. Creamer failed to yield at the intersection and pulled into the path of Ms. Trimble. Ms. Trimble swerved to the left to avoid impact. The front of Mr. Creamer’s 2000 Dodge Stratus struck the right front of Ms. Trimble’s 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. Mr. Creamer drove to a controlled stop on the south side of Hwy. 69. Ms. Trimble’s vehicle came to rest facing east on Division Street.
Ms. Trimble was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess County Ambulance. She had moderate injuries. She was wearing her seat belt.
The Dodge had moderate damage and the Chevrolet had minor damage.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. M.S. Belshe, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
