The North Daviess R-3 Board of Education noted during their meeting held May 18 that some rain water came into the ITV closet and cafeteria and gym in the school building during the storm on Saturday, the week before.

A resignation was accepted for Colleena Johnson, kindergarten teacher.
Pat Johnson was offered a contract to teach kindergarten and Ann Plumb to teach English.
Projects for summer maintenance and repair include building a wall on the third floor, repairing and painting the ceiling in the cafeteria, painting and remarking the stage, and painting the Ag shop. Superintendent Wendell Burns let the board know that they need to replace the furnace in the gym soon.
Principal Daniel Street announced the overall attendance for April was 95.97% with elementary at 96.03% and high school at 95.9%. The third through sixth grade attended the ‘Day at the K’ at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City on May 7. Preschool and eighth grade speech class took a trip to the Daviess County Library on the May 14. Spring concert and all school awards night was held May 12. The annual FFA/FBLA banquet was held on May 5.
Next board meeting is June 15 at 7 p.m. in Jameson.
