Big BAM is a party on wheels—bicycle wheels, that is. Big BAM (Bicycle Across Missouri) is a cross-state bicycle ride and music festival, from the Missouri to the Mississippi River, which covers 300 miles and includes more than two dozen bands at different stops during the five-day ride. About 1,000 riders have already signed up.

big bam map day oneThe ride begins at Rock Port on June 21 and ends at Canton on June 26. Every day includes music at rest stops and overnight stops in towns along the way as well as full concerts with two bands every evening with different genres of music, ranging from classic rock to Americana and stomp grass and including bands ranging from Brewer and Shipley to Ha Ha Tonka, SHEL and Tyrannosaurus Chicken. Overnight towns include Rock Port, Maryville, Albany, Unionville, Kirksville and Canton. Non-riders may attend day-time music for free and purchase tickets for evening concerts. Cyclists can join for the entire ride or any portion.

Various food, craft beer, and other vendors will turn every rest stop into a festival. The Hermann Wurst Haus has created a Big BAM Bratwurst especially for the event.

Bicyclists will have access to campgrounds, gear transport, hot showers, hospitality tents, and luxury transport from either direction to the starting or stopping points.

Big BAM is presented by Missouri Life magazine and Off Track Events.
