Four persons were arrested during a traffic stop on northbound I-35 in Daviess County on May 17 on various drug and firearm charges. According to the probable cause report, Ashley Snidow, 19, was pulled over for speeding in a Toyota Camry with Minnesota license plates. Her Missouri driver’s license was suspended, and Trooper J. Johnston detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. While in Johnston’s patrol car, Snidow produced a plastic bag of marijuana from her bra and indicated there were additional illegal narcotics in her vehicle. She also indicated that there was a firearm in the trunk.

The front seat passenger, Dawayne L. Billups, 19, St. Joseph, was charged with class D felony unlawful use of a weapon, possession of defaced firearm, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana/paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000 cash.
The back seat passenger, Cornelius Billups, 18, St. Joseph, was charged with class D felony unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a defaced firearm, misdemeanor. Bond was set at $5,000.
Snidow, Kansas City, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving while revoked, all misdemeanors, with bond set at $850 cash only. Another passenger TyJuan M. Lee, 19, was arrested on a Buchanan County warrant for FTA.

8:22 pm – James D. Wilson, 26, Jameson, was taken into custody for probation violation warrant on original charge of misdemeanor C&I, involving an accident. Wilson was transferred to DDCRJ on $2,000 bond.
