Charlene was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Gallatin to Charles Hemry and Adah E. Macy. She attended school in Gallatin and at the University of Missouri.
On a trip to visit her aunt in California, she met Dr. George E. Potts Jr. of Berkeley and they were married in 1954. They moved to Lafayette where they lived for 40 years and raised 2 sons, Charles and Robert. After George passed in 1992, Charlene moved to Rossmoor.
Charlene loved music, art, gardening and visiting with her many friends and family in her Gallatin home. She is survived by two sons, granddaughters Ashley and Danielle, and great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Tatum and Colton. Her first son, Gary Baldwin, pre-deceased her. Her internment service will be May 23, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin.
