Finalized litigation on missing funds has been settled and restitution has been made the City of Pattonsburg by a former employee in the amount of $2,768.79.

In other city business at the April 13 meeting of the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen, the board agree to pay Bob Hildreth, the city’s water/sewer operator and maintenance person, $15.50 an hour based on a 52 hour week.

Kendra Comer will receive a portion of her pay for being a council member. She had to move before her term was up. She received $133.33 for four months.

Spring cleanup is scheduled for May 4.

The meeting was suspended until April 14 in order to the get election results. City Clerk swore in the new Mayor Edmond Howard and Eastward Alderman’s Stephen Letterman and Lonnie Luke and the Westward Alderman Sandra Wooding.

Karen Shepherd was reappointed as city clerk and custodian of records.

The board will look into the cost to fix the drainage ditch on Oak Street .

Mowing bids were to be advertised.

The board entered closed session to discuss personnel and litigations.

Next meeting is May 11.

Dog issues were heard during the March 16 meeting of the Pattonsburg aldermen. There were several complaints of residents being chased and bitten by dogs, and children being knocked down by dogs running at large.

The Dogs and Cats Ordinance was adopted. The licensing year start date is June 1 and the end date is May 31. License fees for spayed or neutered dogs shall be $6 and for un-spayed or un-neutered dogs $12.

Project Prom received a $50 donation from an individual who wished to remain anonymous.

The city received a letter from the Daviess County Clerk regarding taxes that have been received from Grange Hopkins. He had been charged for City of Pattonsburg taxes, but he does not live in city limits. The amount of the taxes was 161.78 and it was returned to Mr. Hopkins.

CCH, a tax data publishing company, has requested information on taxes and franchise fees.

The mayor wrote a response letter with answers to their questions.

Jim Wooden asked about purchasing lots in town. The lots in question are owned by an individual and not the city.

The board carried a motion that if Mayor Walker did not win the election in April, he would still do the negotiating on the Daviess County PWSD#1 contract.

The board entered into closed session to discuss personnel and employee reviews, but did not have enough information. The employment and compensation discussion would continue at the next meeting.

During the February 7 meeting, the city discussed receiving T-Mobile upgrade agreement for the antennas on the water tower to support 4G service. The agreement was sent to the city’s attorney and after some changes it was approved and sent back to T-Mobile.

Trash service was raised to $12 and set to go into effect April 11.

The board entered closed session to discuss the topic of Daviess County PWSD#1 and the sewer lift station on Meadows Lane. No decision was made.
