Bobby was born April 28, 1934, in Mountain Home, Ark., the son of Henry and Sarah (Tripp) Hensley, where he lived and attended school. He moved to Kansas City and married Barbara. They had three daughters, Nina, DeeAnna and Kathy. Bobby began working at Armco Steel where he dedicated 33 years of service, retiring in the late ’80s. Bobby was united in marriage to Lavon Maynard May 25, 1971, in Kansas City, Mo., where the couple lived for 15 years. To this union their daughter Terrie was born. In 1986 the Hensley family moved to a farm north of Gallatin and enjoyed country living. Bobby was an avid fisherman and love to hunt; he truly was an outdoorsman. Family was his pride and joy and he was always eager to see his grandchildren. It was a common site to see Bobby driving his pickup around town with his trusty dog following; he liked to see the countryside. Bobby was a loving dad and granddad who will be greatly missed.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lavon in 2005, and daughter, Rhonda in 2013, sisters, Maggie, Dealie and Irene, and his brothers Fred, Jack and Jewel.
