The memorial was given by Francie Toney and Susie Walton. The hand bells were used to offer different tones for former students who had passed away during the past year: Ruby House, Ruth Ann (Walker) Parton, Alfred Vegely and Wilma Youtsey.
James Wilson and Ina McFee sang “When They Ring Those Golden Bells for You and Me” for the closing of the memorial service.
The program for the evening was the Prophesy from the Class of 1933, written by the late Truman Schoonover, presented by Lewis and Nancy Schoonover, which brought several chuckles from the group.
Lisa (Wilson) Daniels and brother James Wilson brought a duet for the remainder of the program.
Tokey Sue Gardner donated many nice door prizes for everyone to choose from.
Jewell Pendleton drew names from a basket and presented potted plants to several attendees.
A short business meeting was held. Linda Jones and her committee will preside for next year.
