Gallatin varsity golfers didn’t just win the Grand River Conference on Monday. They trounced the remaining seven-team field in winning their third straight league title and ninth in school history.

Gallatin’s dominance showed in the awards ceremony. Jett Simmons took the GRC medalist honor with an 18-hole round of 71, one over par and six strokes better than teammate Logan Burns, who finished second. Grant Simmons placed third with a 79. Bradley Rhoades finished fourth with an 80. Number five golfer for the day, Gabe Cole, shot 86 to finish eighth.
The Bulldogs finished with a 307 team total to best Albany’s 346. South Harrison’s combined 385 was good for third place.
GHS golfers will compete at the Class 1, District Tournament next Monday at Chillicothe’s Green Hills Golf Course.
