The Missouri Department of Conservation has confirmed that a mountain lion was photographed in early February in Harrison County, according to a story in the newspaper’s April 15 edition.

A game camera captured the image of the large cat roaming a field in central Harrison County. Conservation agent Josh Roller talked about the mountain lion sighting on his Tuesday show on KAAN radio. Roller said the mountain lion was seen on property owned by an absentee owner.

“It appeared to be a full grown mountain lion,” Roller told the Republican-Clipper on Tuesday afternoon (April 14).

This is the 50th mountain lion sighting confirmed in Missouri since 1994.
