“Mittleider gardens are more beautiful and productive,” says Jim Kennard, president of the nonprofit Food for Everyone Foundation, “and they are easier and more enjoyable to work in and care for.”

Developed by Dr. Jacob R. Mittleider, the Mittleider gardening method combines the best features of soil-based and hydroponic gardening, but without hydroponic expense. It’s a complete, easy-to-follow plan that eliminates guesswork and maximizes gardening success anywhere—an apartment patio, a city yard, a country lot, or a farm.

Dr. Mittleider developed this method of gardening while conducting agricultural training and program development in 27 countries based on 55 years of study and gardening experience. “Jacob Mittleider was challenged to see if he could grow food in some of the most difficult situations and circumstances in the world,” according to Kennard. “He went to those places, lived there, and taught gardening to people who really needed it to make a living, to stay alive. Over the years, he improved his methods, and today it is an extremely efficient, easy method that is known as the Mittleider method of gardening.”

Mittleider gardening allows gardeners to raise an abundance of vegetables and other crops in almost any soil, in practically any season, and in almost any climate.

This free seminar is offered by the nonprofit Food for Everyone Foundation. Jim Kennard has taught Mittleider gardening seminars throughout the United States and in many countries around the world, including Russia, Armenia, Turkey, Republic of Georgia, Madagascar, and Columbia. He has used the Mittleider method for nearly 40 years.
