Hattie (Rains) Bailey has been hired as Gallatin City Clerk and is set to begin in May.

Hattie grew up on a family farm outside of Gallatin. She attended school at GHS and was involved in FBLA, FFA, band, and student council.

Hattie is pictured with her husband.

She attended William Jewell College and received a B.S. in accounting in 2009. While in college she was hired as an intern at Cerner Corporation in Kansas City. She was offered a full-time position after graduation.

Her most recent position was as payroll and benefits accountant. She also worked as a business analyst and accountant for the company.

She is married to Howard Bailey II and they live outside of Jameson. She is the daughter of David and Julie Rains of Gallatin.

Ms. Bailey attends Gallatin First Christian Church where she is a Sunday school teacher and is involved with the archery ministry program.

“I appreciate the opportunity the city has given me and I am excited to be working in my hometown,” said Ms. Bailey.
