“We had several activities planned and we would like to thank the community for your continued support,” said Cheryl Alexander, RN-Administrator.

The health department offered free labs for Daviess County residents, or discounted labs for those out of county, on Monday, April 6, and Wednesday, April 8, with 283 participants.

Tuesday, April 7, was the regular walk-in public health day. On Thursday, April 9, a lunch time walk was held at the courthouse to encourage others to exercise during their lunch break. The week concluded Friday, April 10, with a BBQ of pulled pork and sides serving around 200 people for lunch. Clients signed up for prizes throughout the week, with drawings for prizes Friday afternoon.

“Thank you to all that participated and again for your support,” said Ms. Alexander.
