Altamont United Methodist

Mission moment was April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Children are suffering from the epidemic right here in our area.

Hymn of praise was “Fairest Lord Jesus.” Gospel lesson was by Francie Toney, “Jesus Appears to His Disciples.” Pastor Marilyn’s message was “Behind Closed Doors.”

We appreciate an anonymous person donating new curtains for our entry room. Thoughts and prayers were for Krissy Brogan and family. Our heartfelt condolences to the family of Ralph Davis. Ralph was truly a servant of the Lord, always doing for others.

Coffey Baptist

Morning worship opened in prayer, followed with “In the Name of the Lord” and “There’s Something About That Name.” Pastor Eldon gave announcements.

Spring revival is coming up May 3-6 at 6 p.m. each evening. Pastor Eldon has several activities scheduled for the next two weeks to prepare for a good turn out to hear the evangelist, Rev. Don Walton, bring his message each night. The Heintz family will bring their music one night. Come and enjoy their talent and the message they bring.

The children’s message was one of Jesus’ miracles taken from Matthew 15:29-39. Our special music was by Wanda Smith, “Help Is On The Way.” Pastor Eldon led the congregation in prayer for our nation and community. His message was from Hebrew 12:1-3. Continue remembering in prayer our members and their families.

Lake Viking

John 20:19-31 was the scripture that Pastor Robert Nelson based his sermon “Don’t be Doubtful” on during the Sunday morning worship service. The special music  “Yesterday” was sung by Hope Solberg of Cameron. The Ladies Bible Study Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Wednesday evening the Youth Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the Adult Evening Bible Study Group will meet at 7 p.m.

Lake Viking Church is and interdenominational church, located just outside the east entrance to Lake Viking. Our Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. and our worship service begins at 10 a.m. Come and join us as we worship our Risen Lord.

Gallatin First Baptist

Welcome was from Bro. Garrett. Darrell Critten led prayer and Jeremy Ripple worship. We were so blessed to have as our guest Jami Smith King in concert. Church in Conference was held Sunday, along with Celebration of Life. Men’s Bible Study is at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Women’s Wellness Ministry (First Place 4 Health), a Christ centered total wellness program will meet at 6:15 on Thursday evening.

The last night for Pioneer Club before summer break will be Wednesday, April 22. We will host family night for Pioneer Club on Wednesday, April 29, with the program beginning at 6 pm with supper being served after the program.

The Naomi Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 5 pm at Cycles and will be

hosted by the deacons. Wood Marshall, minister of youth, will be speaking, and Jennifer Teel will present special music.

Gallatin United Methodist

Peyton and Pryce Johnson lit the altar candles to open worship service. Pastor Mike Tipton led the prayer. Melanie Tipton delivered the children’s message “Believing Without Seeing.” Pastor Mike Tipton based his sermon “Where Do We Go From Here” on John 20: 19-31.

April 15, 7 p.m., will be Bible study at Sweatmans’ home; April 18 at 6 p.m. is family movie night “Night At The Museum” in the fellowship hall. April 26 is dine in/carry out fish dinner. Nancy Tate will take orders. Revive committee will meet after noon meal. April 27 is a UMW meeting at Peggy Noel’s home at 7. May 1-2 is the spring rummage sale.

We are collecting school supplies to be delivered at annual conference in June. Place items in the back of the sanctuary. Prayer concerns are to the family of Krissy Brogan, Dean Pierce, Dale Alexander and the family of Ralph Davis.

Pattonsburg Christian

Scripture reading was from Isaiah 65:17. Rev. Terry’s sermon “What Is Heaven Like” was from Isaiah 67:17-25 and Revelation 21. Remember in prayer: Merlin Bozarth, Betty McFee, Trevor Teel, Jeanne Oliphant, Lonnie Carter, Kelly Vanderslice, Kathy Henderson, Doyle Tull, and Daphna June Cummings.
