County Commission
James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, and his crew have been removing log jams in Harrison, Marion and Salem Townships. Crews will be working on 242nd Street in Washington Township this week.
Bills were reviewed and approved.
Treasurer Reta Rains submitted outstanding taxes to be outlawed for the county. Commissioners approved the list.
There was a First Reading of Petition for Vacation of a Public Road, Ridge Avenue in Liberty Township, and reading of Petition for Vacation of a Public Road, 210th Street, Slade Avenue, 208th Street and Sunset Avenue in Sheridan Township. No one from the public was in attendance.
Robert Dyson, Lock Springs, met with the commission to discuss road and street issues in the Village of Lock Springs.
Reta Rains met with the commission to discuss window operations in the courthouse and what the status of window maintenance is.
A decision on the vehicle bids was postponed for further review.
Pam Howard met with the commission regarding additional shelving in the storage building.
In the afternoon commission inspected roads and bridges in Benton, Salem, Washington, Jamesport, Grand River, and Union Township.
There was discussion with Ivan Schroeder regarding outstanding litigation items regarding Daviess County.

Circuit Court
Civil cases filed: Certificate of lien, DOR, taxes, were filed by the State ex rel Director of Revenue against Pier 54 LLC, Mesa, Ariz.; Roy Bradly Everett, Gallatin; Heidi Alice Everett, Gallatin; Shannon D. Hale, Jamesport; Charles R. and Geneva Hogan, Gallatin; Black Forest Trucking, Williston, ND; and Carla R. Ruch, Jameson.
Associate Division
A summons was issued for Ashley M. Huff, Hamilton, for property damage first degree, class D felony, and three class A misdemeanors, domestic assault third degree, assault law enforcement office third degree, and resisting arrest, in connection with an incident on July 4, 2014. Huff had been scheduled for a jury trial on these charges on April 7 on a change of venue from Livingston County, but the charges were dismissed and refiled in Daviess County on April 3.
The following cases were heard by Judge Daren Adkins on March 16:
Tammy Smith, Springfield, was sentenced to 65 days jail and fined $25 for possession of marijuana, class A misdemeanor.
Jon Michelson, Minneapolis, Minn., received a sentence of two days jail for misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
Joshua W. Mann, Cameron, was sentenced to 10 days jail and fined $25 for assault third degree.
Celso Cruz De La Luna, Des Moines, Iowa, was fined $300 for no valid license, misdemeanor.
Jacob D. McCaughey, Milan, was sentenced to two days jail for misdemeanor drug paraphernalia and fined $10 for a seat belt infraction.
Guilty pleas on state traffic tickets, March 30-April 6: Christopher B. Blanchard, Sarah A. Land, Drayven Lee Sumpter, Trevon Jones, Jordan Mackenzie Farmer, Andrew Smith.
Guilty plea on municipal traffic ticket: James Howard Owings, Gallatin.
Civil Court
Suit on account: A consent judgment was entered for Cavalry Investments LLC and against Sharon Curtis.
Other Real Estate Action: A consent judgment was entered for Berthia D. Maurer and against Bradley S. Larkin et al.
