Two Tundra Swans were spotted by Sherry Bridgeman just east of Altamont. In the picture are two Canadian Geese, much smaller than the white geese. According to the mapping these birds are not supposed to be in our area.
The Tundra Swan breeds on the high tundra across the top of North America. It winters in large flocks along both coasts, and is frequently encountered during its migration across the continent. [Submitted Photo]
