Hears presentation on phone, tracking system
The Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail Board agreed to purchase a 2005 Dodge van from St Genevieve County for $8,000 during their meeting held March 27.
Rick Freeman, Citytelecoin Phones, gave a presentation on inmate phones for the jail.
Joe Berra and Kelly White gave a presentation on a jail management system from the Missouri Sheriff’s Association. Discussion was tabled until a later date.
Ed Howard gave the financial report which was accepted by the board. Sales tax income for March was $95,612.81; Commissary grossed $15,929.75; CD Account balance is $235,909.24 (Interest added 3/2/15 $583.48); Sales Tax Account balance is $268,629.29; Operating Account balance is $660.55; Payroll Account balance is $53.43.
A refund notice from MAC for Work Comp Insurance was received in the amount of $3467.00. Check will be mailed in late April.
For the first two months of 2015 Daviess County would have had to pay $68,880 for inmate housing and DeKalb County would have had to pay $103,640.
Howard reported training is still ongoing.
Gray is waiting on the Pattonsburg High School superintendent to call back with regards to the school students touring the jail.
The jail now has an ORI number which is the first step for Mules. We are still waiting to hear from State of Missouri.
