Two teenagers received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 2:10 p.m. on March 29 in Harrison County.

According to the highway patrol, the crash occurred as Darriane Carey, 17, Gilman City, was eastbound on Hwy. 146 about two miles east of Blue Ridge. Darriane failed to navigate a turn in her 2001 Ford F-150. She overcorrected, crossed the center line, again overcorrected, and went off the south side of the road and overturned. The pickup came to rest on its wheels facing north.
Darriane was taken by NTA Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital. A passenger in the vehicle, Logan Miller, 18, New Hampton, refused treatment at the scene. Both were wearing their seat belts.
The vehicle was totaled.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.E. Hainey, assisted by Cpl. B.R. Hilliard and Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
