TRENTON, MO — The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a prescribed fire workshop on April 11 at 9 a.m., in the shelter house at Crowder State Park. Prescribed burns use fire as a tool to help manage unwanted vegetation, increase cattle forage, and boost native plants that benefit wildlife. This workshop is free. Pre-registration is required by April 8. Contact Scott Roy by calling 660-359-5685 x114. Materials, refreshments, and lunch will be provided. Participants should bring leather gloves and wear leather boots.
