Pat Baker resigns after 33 years

The 2015-2016 salary schedule was accepted during the meeting of the North Daviess R-3 Board of Education held March 16. Teachers will advance a step for next year.

A resignation letter was accepted from Patricia Baker. She plans to retire at the end of the school year, after 33 years of service.

All tenured teaching contracts were approved. Contracts were offered to Meredith Doty, Deanna Nelson, Colleena Johnson, Amy Glenn, Jeremy Dodds, Louise Bird, Gene Parton, Keith Sarver, Jacob Cook, Britney Baker and Jaclyn Ray.

Extra duty contracts were offered.

The board was presented the signed superintendent contract from Terry Mayfield.

The district had a 100% vaccination participation rate.

The administrative review for school foods went well, no major problems. Working hours for cooks may be adjusted for next year.

Mr. Street reported enrollment at 63. Elementary basketball season is going on now. North Daviess plays at Gilman City Friday and Saturday. The tournament will be March 23-27. High school academic season has begun.

Executive session was entered to consider employee matters.

Next meeting is April 16 at 7 p.m.
