County Clerk
Absentee ballots for the April 7, 2015, Municipal Election are now available in the county clerk’s office. Ballots may be obtained by mail or in the office any day during regular office hours and on Saturday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Voter registration for this election will close March 11th.
Write-in candidates for the April election are as follows: PWSD#2 of Caldwell County – Craig Henderson; Lincoln Township Director — James L. Gates and Stan Tibbles; Lincoln Township Trustee – James C. Gutshall.
County Commission
James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, and crew are cutting brush around Pattonsburg bridges and working on equipment.
Bills were reviewed and approved.
Christina Harrell, Trileaf, discussed the flood plan for Daviess County via phone conference. Commissioners stated the flood mapping plan for Daviess County is still in progress and has not been completed.
David Cox moved to accept Resolution No. 1-2015, Destination Marketing Organization, for Jamesport Community Association. Carl Carder seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Kathryn, Gold Star representative, discussed products for road maintenance. Commissioners referred her to the townships in the county.
Steve McBee was called regarding road closures paperwork that needed to be completed.
Rick Eaton, Daviess County Health Care, discussed roof repairs to the nursing home building with commissioners.
J. Quinton Lovejoy, Federated Insurance, discussed health insurance options for Daviess County.
Will Miller discussed brush cutting with the county, in particular Sheridan Township.
Shannon Howe and Ron Urton, Howe Company, LLC, discussed Bridge BRO B031 (35) No. 0530001. The contract for engineering services were signed and completed.
Commissioners called Lucille Lusk and discussed special road districts around Daviess County.
Commissioners attended LEPC meeting at 12 p.m.
Commissioners placed 185th Street in Liberty Township (.7 miles) into the Liberty CART Road program for CART Road #495 (.70 miles).
In the afternoon commissioners reviewed roads and brush in Jefferson, Colfax and Union Township.

Circuit Court
Bound over from Associate Division on Feb. 18: State vs. Erin D. Ashbook, Cameron, DWI, persistent offender, class D felony, no valid license, class A misdemeanor, speeding.
Civil cases filed: Division of Employment Security vs. Christopher Rainey, Jamesport, transcript judgment; Megan D. Eddy, Jamesport, vs. Robert F. Eddy, Brookfield, dissolution of marriage; Frances A. Stagner, Gallatin, vs. Walter G. Stagner, Cameron, dissolution of marriage.
Berthia D. Maurer, Gladstone, vs. Bradley S. Larkin, Brock Larkin and Angela Huffman, petition for ejectment; State of Missouri ex rel Director of Revenue vs. Jeremy K. Sutton, Jamesport, certificate of lien, DOR, taxes.
Associate Division
Rudy Miller, Jamesport, was charged Feb. 10 with property damage first degree, class D felony, and tampering with motor vehicle first degree, class C felony. Miller is accused of taking a van belonging to Henry Yoder without permission on Nov. 8, 2014. He caused over $5,000 in damages to the van before returning it.
Municipal Division – City of Gallatin
The following cases were heard by Judge Daren Adkins on Feb. 9, 2015. Court costs for moving violation $32.50; non-moving $29.50.
Robert B. Cornett, Gallatin, was fined $117.50 for a parking violation.
Amy D. Henderson, Gallatin, was fined $54.50 for failure to stop at stop sign and $150 for no valid license.
Ernest Ropp, Trenton, was fined $117.50 for an equipment violation.
A warrant was issued for Anthony D. Davis for failure to appear on counts of failure to stop at stop sign and operating vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Bond was set at $174 and $250, respectively, cash only.
Wendy R. Pace, Gallatin, received a suspended imposition of sentence and 90 days community service for a peace disturbance.
Christopher D. Pettie, Gallatin, was fined $150 for drug paraphernalia and sentenced to two days jail for possession of controlled substance.
Benjamin M. Claibourn, Gallatin, was sentenced to four days in the county jail for minor in possession.
Katherine M. Johnson, Gallatin, was fined for speeding.
Civil Court
Suits on account: In Saint Luke’s Health System vs. Tracey L. Huitt, the court found in favor of St. Luke’s on all counts.
In Midwestern Health Management vs. Richie A. King, et al, the court found in favor of Midwestern Health Management on counts 2, 3, and 4. The court also found that the defendant was in custody on the date of services and therefore is not responsible for his medical expenses while incarcerated.
In Discover Bank New Albany OH vs. Annamieka Lucas, a bankruptcy stay was entered.
