Natural Farewell was held for Dennis Saxton under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Red Cross.

Dennis Dee Moose Saxton, 53, St. Joseph, formerly of Easton, died Feb. 27, 2015, at a local nursing facility.

Dennis received two college degrees from Missouri Western University: Bachelor of Science in Education in 1991, and Bachelor Degree of Nursing BSN in 2004. While in the BSN program, he earned the prestigious Red Cross Nursing Badge for his work with the Red Cross. Shortly after receiving his BSN, Dennis took a two week vacation to Hurricane Katrina with Red Cross Disaster Relief Team.

Dennis was a member of Freeman Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Easton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Cyrus Saxton; and mother, Irlene Saxton.

He leaves his wife, Angela Saxton, of the home; sons, Micah, Brandon and Jordan, all of St. Joseph; daughters, Hannah and Madison, of St. Joseph; step-daughter, Jeana Hogan, of Pattonsburg; brothers, Earl Saxton (Anna), Kent Saxton (Jenny) and Kevin Saxton (Brandon); sisters, Jackie Saxton (Mike) and Nolen Young (DL); three grandchildren.
