Cora Sue Shaw, 72, passed away Feb. 19 at Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cameron.

Sue was born on the farm near Pattonsburg on Jan. 22, 1942, to Alpha O. and Della L. (Willis) Shaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Max and Gary Shaw.
Sue graduated from Pattonsburg High School in 1959. After graduation she attended NWMSU for one year.
She moved to Omaha, Neb., and was employed at Mutual of Omaha. In 1967 Sue relocated to San Diego, Calif. During 1980 she moved to Dallas, Texas, for employment at Rockwell International (Alcatel). She took early retirement in 1993 and went into the craft show business, which she continued until her death.
She returned to Missouri in 2002, living in Kansas City before moving to Cameron in 2009.
Travel was Sue’s favorite pastime. She joined the Naval Reserves at age 40 and traveled to Korea, Norway, London, and Hawaii. During retirement she traveled with long-time friend, Dora, and other friends in Florida and Oklahoma.
Survivors include sister, June McClure and husband, Dr. Richard, Sidney, Iowa; and brother, Don Shaw, Pattonsburg; niece Brenda Dailey and husband, Randal, Independence; nephew, Dr. Scott McClure and wife, Dr. Liz; and great niece Regan McClure, Boone, Iowa.
Sue has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. Inurnment will follow in Civil Bend Christian Cemetery, southeast of Pattonsburg. Memorials may be made to the Educational Fund to be directed by the family in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
