Gallatin’s girls wrapped up Grand River Conference play last Friday night with a 61-44 victory over Stanberry that produced a 7-2 finish in league play and 17-8 record heading into this week’s district tournament.

Madison Rounkles notched a career high 17 points for Gallatin on 8-of-10 shooting from the field. She also registered a team-high three steals along with Taylor Sloan.

Kailey Salmon scored 14 points in her final GRC contest and dished out a team-high five assists. Bailey Maxwell finished with 11 points and four assists for the Lady Bulldogs, who at one point rattled off 15 straight points.

Gallatin’s boys fell to 6-3 in final league standings after a 53-45 loss at Stanberry. The loss also dropped the Bulldogs to 17-8 overall.

Stanberry outscored Gallatin, 27-22, in the second half on the way to the win that helped secure a share of the GRC title for the black and gold Bulldogs.

Jacob Boyd led a trio of GHS Bulldogs into double figures with 14 points. Grant Simmons finished with 12 points and Harris Cameron chipped in 10.
