A Celebration of Life service in memory of Lee A. Grawe will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with a luncheon to follow. Please RSVP to Bishop Brian Youd at 816-500-5188 by February 16. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials may be made to the Lee Grawe Memorial Fund in care of McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.
Lee Arthur Grawe was born February 20, 1987, the son of Elroy A. and Colleen (Marsh) Grawe in Sheridan, Wyoming. He graduated from Gallatin High School in 2005 and joined the armed forces National Guard. His MOS was combat Engineering Delta A35, then infantry division E4, starting at the age of 17. Lee served his country for 6 years, receiving an honorable discharge.
Lee was united in marriage to Jennifer Stephenson on June 26, 2010. He was a loving stepfather of Guinevere Lynn Steele, and loved both Jennifer and Guinevere dearly and unconditionally. Lee and Jennifer were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and were baptized in September of 2010.
Lee was a quiet, introverted guy that had a heart of gold. You could feel his gentle spirit. He was generous, kind and loving. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with friends out at the pond. Lee also had a soft spot in his heart for animals. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Elroy A. Grawe, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Lee is survived by his wife Jennifer of Kansas City, Kan., his mother, Colleen Grawe of Gallatin, step-daughter, Guinevere Lynn, and 3 half sisters, Carrie, Janet and Wendy.
